  • 1 small container pulp-free orange juice

🔪 Bacon Prep [cutting board]

  • Dice 5 slices bacon or pancetta

🥣 Sprout Prep [medium bowl + knife]

  • Trim ends from 2 cups Brussels sprouts
  • Cut sprouts in half through the core
  • Discard loose outer leaves

🥤 Juice Measure [measuring cup]

  • Measure 1 cup pulp-free orange juice

🍳 MAKE IT

  1. Heat a non-stick frying pan over medium heat. Add the diced bacon or pancetta and cook until browned and crispy.
  2. Remove the cooked bacon from the pan and set aside, leaving the rendered fat in the pan.
  3. Add the halved Brussels sprouts to the pan with the bacon fat and cook cut-side down until lightly browned.
  4. Return the bacon to the pan. Add the 1 cup orange juice, cover with a lid, and cook until the juice evaporates and the sprouts are fork-tender (about 5 minutes). Do not overcook.
  5. Remove the lid and toss the sprouts until evenly coated in any remaining juices.
  6. Season with salt and black pepper to taste and SERVE! 🍽️
