- Dice 5 slices bacon or pancetta
🥣 Sprout Prep [medium bowl + knife]
- Trim ends from 2 cups Brussels sprouts
- Cut sprouts in half through the core
- Discard loose outer leaves
🥤 Juice Measure [measuring cup]
- Measure 1 cup pulp-free orange juice
🍳 MAKE IT
- Heat a non-stick frying pan over medium heat. Add the diced bacon or pancetta and cook until browned and crispy.
- Remove the cooked bacon from the pan and set aside, leaving the rendered fat in the pan.
- Add the halved Brussels sprouts to the pan with the bacon fat and cook cut-side down until lightly browned.
- Return the bacon to the pan. Add the 1 cup orange juice, cover with a lid, and cook until the juice evaporates and the sprouts are fork-tender (about 5 minutes). Do not overcook.
- Remove the lid and toss the sprouts until evenly coated in any remaining juices.
- Season with salt and black pepper to taste and SERVE! 🍽️
